Honeycomb Clay Creations Workshop - Saturday, February 21th 2026
Join us as we aim to weave biology and geology by creating honey bee/comb (biology!) inspired clay (geology!) pieces.  Long time HV Bee customer and ceramicist Dan Michaud from Little Falls Pottery Retreat will provide all materials and tools so you can create pieces that he will fire in his kiln for you to cherish in your home (or give as gifts).

Absolutely no experience working with clay or creating pottery pieces is needed; Dan will start with a brief overview of how wet clay is shaped, dried, carved, glazed and fired in into beautiful permanent pots for everyday use.  Dan likes to talk, so you'll have to cut him off so you can dive into shaping, carving, stamping clay (honey comb or similar) into soap dishes, coasters, small plates or house numbers.

Each student will get 2 pieces that will be glazed and fired to completion by Dan for you (pickup will be approximately 2 weeks after class to allow for kiln firing and cooling time). Look forward to turning wet clay into honeybee gems for your home!
